Not sure if you’ve noticed, but I’ve recently launched a Facebook Group, Life of an Ambitious Millennial! This group is for hardworking badass millennials who want to unwind, learn, and connect.
I started Life of an Ambitious Millennial because I wanted to have all of my favorite people in one place. Guess what happened? Exactly that!
I spent weeks planning the launch which went great. Plus, I spend everyday engaging and growing the group. If you’re not sure if you should be building a community for yourself, here’s why I think you should.
No Better Place to Hang Than a Group
One of the best places to hang on the internet is my group. Okay, that might be a little bias. But, it’s a great place to be! I love being able to engage with other like minded ladies!
This is by far my favorite thing about having a Facebook group. I can go there whenever I feel like talking about a topic or getting feedback on something. The more the group grows, the more interesting people I meet that I want to interact with daily!
Present Yourself as an Expert
Like most entrepreneurs, I want to be an expert in my field. Where’s the best place to do that? In your group. Not only do I love sharing knowledge because that’s just what I do, but when I share information in my group, it shows that I am an expert on the topic.
Plus, I feel more compelled to learn because I want to share new stuff with the awesome ladies in Life of an Ambitious Millennial.
Ideal Clients
I made sales in my group within the first week of launching! How awesome is that? The cool thing about groups is you can fill it with people who you like, trust, and want to know more about. But, you can also fill it with people who are most likely to be your clients. I’m lucky to have a little of both!
For my social media management and career coaching business, my ideal client is a female millennial entrepreneur. So, having a bunch of female millennial entrepreneurs in my group means that this is the best place to find my clients. Especially since they already know and trust me!
Brand Awareness
When people enter your group, they are immediately hit with your brand. Your cover photo, your profile picture in posts, or even posts directly tied to your services. The more time people spend in your group, the more aware they are of your brand.
A group is a perfect place to get people to know your brand because they literally can’t escape from it! Just make sure your branding is consistent!
Thinking about starting a group of your own? I highly recommend it! While you’re at it, head over to Life of an Ambitious Millennial to see what awesome stuff is going on there. Already a group owner? Post yours in the comments!
