A brand will guide you when you’re coming up with the visual aspects of your Instagram feed. You may want to incorporate similar colors, fonts, and messaging from your branding to your Instagram theme. This promotes your brand and keeps your channels consistent.
To have a great Instagram feed, you need these three things:
- Consistent posting
- Cohesive images
- Quality images
Consistency is important for any platform and Instagram is no different. Being consistent is important to your theme because an old, outdated feed won’t get people following and engaging. The recommended posting amount is once a day.
To make a theme that is pretty, your images need to be cohesive. You have to look at your feed as a whole instead of just individual images. So, your posts should have a similar look and feel to them.
Quality images doesn’t necessarily mean professionally taken stylized photography (though that does help). A quality image can be simply something your audience really enjoys because it gives them value, entertainment, or a reason to like you even more!
When crafting posts for your Instagram theme, websites like Canva can really come in handy because you can edit images to remain cohesive, create multiple images from a similar template easily to help with consistency and create quality stunning images. Using a template will help you save time on your creation, so I recommend creating something that is branded and easy to replicate.
