Over the last few months, I have been involving myself more in the WordPress community.
I’ve been to two WordCamps (WordCamp NEO and WordCamp Ann Arbor) and I’ve also been attending a WordPress meet-up in Westlake. My goal has been to get more involved in the WordPress community ever since I attended WordCamp Ann Arbor in October.
Luckily, I was then asked to speak at our monthly meetup! I saw this as an opportunity to get involved and share some of the great knowledge that I have received from my WordPress experience.
My presentation was titled “Cost-Effective Ways to Make Your Blog Sparkle!” I thought this was a fitting title for my presentation due to obvious reasons. I’ve included the slides. I hope you learn something from them!

Overall, I’m really happy with the way my presentation turned out. I think that everyone felt like they learned something new! I felt very confident afterward which is always a good sign.
I’m hoping that I can get involved in organizing such as meetups or WordCamps, as well. The WordPress community is a special one that I’m glad to be apart of!
